Bennett announced his retirement via his personal twitter account on Friday.

Analysis: Bennett made comments hinting at his retirement during the 2017 season and had been mulling the decision over the past couple months. In nine games last year, split between the Packers and Patriots, the tight end recorded 286 yards on 30 catches. He bounced between the Cowboys, Giants, Bears, Patriots, and Packers over the course of his 10-year career, totaling 4,573 yards and 30 touchdowns on 433 receptions.

Davis was released by the Bills on Friday, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.

Analysis: Davis played in all 16 games for the Bills in 2017, registering 26 tackles, including 3.0 sacks on the year. Despite his production on his limited snaps he was little more than a backup for the team and was slated to maintain that role in 2018. Now a free agent, he'll look to join another club, where he'll figure to hold a backup role once again.

Benwikere signed a contract with Arizona on Friday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Analysis: Benewikere's signing with Arizona comes on the heels of the team losing starting cornerback Tramon Williams to Green Bay in free agency. After a promising sophomore campaign in 2015, in which he recorded 59 tackles and seven passes defensed, Benwikere has had a few disappointing years. In 16 games over the past two seasons, he's totaled just 12 tackles and five passes defensed. He's shown potential to be a contributor on defense but could be relegated to a backup role with Arizona.

Liuget has been suspended for the first four games of the 2018 season for violating the league's performance enhancing drug policy, Eric D. Williams of ESPN reports.

Analysis: Liuget claims he was misinformed by a trainer regarding the acceptability of a substance he was taking and did not knowingly violate the league's rules. However, he has accepted his suspension and it doesn't appear as though he'll appeal the ruling. He'll partake in the offseason program and preseason before sitting the first four games of the regular season.

Mauro has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2018 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Analysis: Mauro, who remains eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games, could possibly have the suspension reduced if he chooses to appeal the decision. Assuming the suspension sticks, the Giants will now be approaching the 2018 season with even more concerns at defensive end, making it increasingly likely the team addresses the position via the upcoming draft.
